Celebrating 135 years : Spirit Week 2023

We are celebrating the rich history of Clarkson College. 2023 marks 135 years of education at the College. Spirit Week and Alumni Weekend remain longstanding traditions within the Clarkson College legacy. These annual events offer outlets to connect with our extended community of alumni, engage with our institution's diverse history and share our personal health care paths. Our collective stories celebrate our strong bonds with one another, the College and its Values, and they intertwine with our past and future legacies.

Dr. Patricia Book Perry dedicated nearly 60 years of her life to nursing, education and Clarkson College. She graduated in the class of 1945 at Clarkson College and returned as a faculty member in 1966. During her time at Clarkson, she served as a basic sciences instructor, Assistant Director, Associate Director, Acting Director, Director and Dean of Bishop Clarkson School of Nursing. She later became the first president of Clarkson College when it became a four-year baccalaureate nursing college, before retiring in 1990. During her time at Clarkson College, Dr. Perry was recongized nationally as a highly respected educator and professional by her collegues, and above all, by her students. She created a lasting impression at Clarkson College for which we are very grateful.
